Porsche has a new 911 Carrera and a new Boxster out, and the 911 is still lugging the engine around over the rear axle as if it were the 1940s, while the Boxster is sporting a much more modern mid-engined layout. The 911 is a little more powerful than the Boxster, but the Boxster is lighter. The only way in which they are really mis-matched is in price: the 911 costs about $22,000 more than its smaller stablemate.
Car & Driver was wondering if the Boxster wasn't just cheaper. It might be faster too. We won't spoil the result for you, but the video is good fun.
