Pat Summitt died Tuesday morning at the age of 64 after a five-year battle with Alzheimer’s. Summitt, the winningest coach in the history of both men’s and women’s Division I basketball, piloted the University of Tennesse Lady Vols from 1974 to 2012.

Winning eight national championships between 1987 and 2008, Summitt was victorious a record 1,098 times and also captured 16 SEC Tournaments and 16 SEC regular season titles, along with eight SEC Coach of the Year awards. Seven times he was named NCAA Coach of the Year and even earned the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2012.

Her former players, associates, competitors, adversaries, and friends took to social media Tuesday to offer up their condolences as the loss of the legendary and trailblazing coach and also offer up some memories. We've rounded up our favorites.
