2013: The Year in WAGS

2013 was a great year for sports. Many big things happened on and off the field. One part of the off the field experience for athletes was the blooming of new relationships as well as some nice engagements and marriages. Who could forget Lindsey Vonn revealing that she was dating Tiger Woods...on Facebook? Also, we can't forget finding out that K. Michelle had moved on from J.R. Smith to Lance Stephenson this year. We love her, she's so hood plus she keeps the Henny on ice. We wonder if any of these couples can last as long as Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady. Here is a look at 2013: Year in WAGS.

Dated: Phil Costa
When: Engaged July-November

Watching the process of an engagement occur is great and all, but if that can't even stand for six months, that's not a good look. Brooke Hogan and Phil Costa ended their brief engagement in November which amounts just to four months.

When: February-June

James Harden has been moving a lot since he developed his own brand as a playa and an NBA star. Harden was dating rapper Trina for a while but moved on to Kyra Chaos after. Unfortunately, that would only last for so long before Harden would move on to the next one.

After Khloe Kardashian's dramatic and up and down marriage with Lamar Odom, the relationship ended in divorce. After her split with Odom was announced, Khloe is rumored to be involved with Los Angeles Dodgers star Matt Kemp. There isn't too much info or anything official, but both have become very close over the past month since Kardashian became available.

Sean Avery and Hilary Rhoda had an off and on relationship for the past few years. Commitment finally overruled and Avery finally proposed to his model girlfriend.

It doesn't take long to get engaged sometimes. Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting got engaged after just three months of dating and look very happy together. They've already been "married" in one of those weird (and not real) television ceremonies on Ellen's talk show.

We don't know anything about the relationship between DeSean Jackson and Chantel Jeffries besides the fact that it was going strong before Jackson allegedly dumped her. Supposedly he's moved on to model Brooke Bailey.

Osi Umeniyora got off to a great 2013 when he proposed to his girlfriend Leila Lopes. She's a former Miss Universe from 2011. The happy couple plans on getting married sometime during 2014.

After a relatively brief relationship with New York Knicks guard J.R. Smith last year, K. Michelle moved onto Indiana Pacers guard Lance Stephenson. Everything seemed to be going well including a dog named "Pacer" being involved until a sudden break up. Michelle attributes Stephenson cheating on her to the split.

It's been unique to see how the relationship between Andre Drummond and Jenette McCurdy developed and eventually died down. Drummond courted the Nickelodeon star online and they eventually went out together. Instagram pics, Vines, and Tweets ensued, but they both eventually ended the relationship a couple of months later.

Michael Phelps must have an affinity for waitresses. He moved onto a third in Sarah Herndon and they seem to be having fun and enjoying life. Phelps should be a gold medal Olympian for his pursuits of waitresses.

Paulina Gretzky and Dustin Johnson got engaged in August, after Gretzky had previously been in a relationship last year. Hopefully, Johnson can lock the notorious IG thirst-trapper down.

Andrew McCutchen has been one of the best players in the MLB over the past few years. With great success came happiness on and off the field. In December, McCutchen proposed to his girlfriend of four years, Maria, on the Ellen Show. So it's official, the Ellen Show is where you propose and commit the rest of your life on.

Kevin Durant has kept the nature of his personal life relatively quiet but earlier this year it was revealed that he had proposed to longtime girlfriend Monica Wright. The Minnesota Lynx player obviously accepted and the two couldn't be happier. It'd be hard to tell considering the privacy kept and maintained in their relationship.

For some reason, many people think Lilit Avagyan looks like Reggie Bush's previous woman Kim Kardashian. Either way, Bush proposed in 2013 after having a child with Avagyan in 2012. They've been together for awhile but finally committed to something this year.

Who knows how long this relationship between Evelyn Lozada of Basketball Wives fame and MLB star Carl Crawford had been going on. Lozada revealed late in the year that she was pregnant and eventually revealed that Crawford was the father of her future second child. Chad Johnson's has to be at least a little bit mad.

Eric Decker and Jessie James seem to have one of the best and funnier celebrity relationships. The couple got married earlier this year and announced that they're having a child a couple of months ago. It all seemed to happen so quickly.

"Swaggy P" Nick Young is moving up in the world. Outside of wild 360 layup attempts, he's having a great year. All of the success was capped off with news that he was dating rapper Iggy Azalea. Here's to hoping he drops an album on Grand Hustle in the future.

Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo and supermodel Irina Shayk have been together for multiple years and have been enjoying the life. Ronaldo and Shayk have been keeping the PDA at a high level still and she will fight for him. Ride or dies are hard to find.

When: Married in July

Nnamdi Asomugha said that he doesn't date actresses and Kerry Washington said she doesn't date athletes. Now look where they're at, they had a secret marriage and everything. Expand your horizons people. If Olivia Pope does it, why can't we all do it?

The key to a good relationship is Amazon according to Tom Brady. Brady's marriage to GIsele Bundchen has always been strong while his performance on the field has been great as well. They are what every couple aspires to be. The rest of these couples need to take notes.
