The 2023-2024 NBA Season is not only introducing a new In-Season Tournament, but all 30 teams will be rocking new City Edition jerseys.
The Toronto Raptors city edition uniform is named Drip Gold. Inspired by the Raptors history, gold is featured as the primary colour with a black outlining trim and in addition has lightning bolt patterns.
The Raptors added a few added details to the uniform that signify the passion and global impact the team has had. The Raptors battle cry “We The North” is pinstriped on the lightning bolts in multiple languages, and the shorts feature a Canadian maple leaf on the belt buckle.
“The 23/24 Raptors City Edition uniform commemorates 10 years with Drake as our global ambassador. A fitting ode to a decade filled with lint-rollers, shoulder rubs, chips, dips, daps and claps from the 6 God,” the jersey description reads.
The league wide In-Season Tournament will feature each team in their city edition jerseys leading up to this new event. It will be running over the course of the next six weeks, with games being played every Tuesdays and Friday’s designated as tournament games.
Each NBA team has been divided into six groups of five, where each team has four group games. The winners of the six groups and two additional wild-card teams will advance and face-off in the quarterfinals in the first week of December before the semifinals. The finals will be held in Las Vegas the following week.
