Serena Williams is feeling better than ever about her game on the eve of Wimbledon.

Williams, 36, will be returning to Wimbledon on Monday less than one year after giving birth to her daughter. She missed last year's tournament due to pregnancy but won her seventh Wimbledon singles title and sixth doubles in 2016. This year, she's ready to rack up more wins.

I"I feel like it's stronger because I've been through so much," Williams said in a Sunday press conference, according to the Guardian. "I put so much on the back burner."

She continued to explain, "I feel like even more so, I'm even more competitive...it definitely surprises me a little because I thought, you know, it would be different. I thought you know, 'Hey, I have this amazing child, I have all these grand slams, this is all super bonus,' and it is. I definitely feel a lot less pressure out there, but I am a little bit shocked at how much I almost want that pressure. You know, I almost want to feel the need to go out there and be the best that I can be."

Winning a Wimbledon title would make Williams one for four women (along with Margaret Court, Evonne Goolagong Cawley, and Kim Clijsters) who have earned a title after becoming a mother, according to the Guardian. Williams previously withdrew from June's French Open with a pectoral injury.
