Post-Super Bowl victory, nobody can say anything to stop Rob Gronkowski from living how Gronk wants to live. Gronk's championship offseason, which has included lots of drinking and partying in places with dancing and music, rolled onto the set of Jim Rome's Showtime program. In addition to describing a perfect spouse as a woman who "makes big cash," Rome had Gronk answer some more difficult questions. Such as: Would you rather suffer a knee injury or a concussion? His response was level 5 Gronk:

"Uh, so if we're sitting here and I had choose would I want a concussion right now or my knee blown out, I'm going to say a concussion. Why would I want to sit there for eight months and not do anything, when with a concussion I'll just wake up and I'll be ready to go again.

When asked whether or not he's worried about suffering from memory loss later in life, his response was a perfect 10 Gronk: "That happens all the time. I don't even know how I got to my hotel last night."

Nailed it.

The memory-loss part of Gronk's answer was A-1 Gronk, but let's go back to that first quote: Why would I want to sit there for eight months and not do anything, when with a concussion I'll just wake up and I'll be ready to go again.

Gronk's suffered through an ACL tear and a handful of other long-term injuries before, so his experience is informing his decision, but in an impartial way.  In 2013, he suffered a concussion on the same play that tore his ACL and MCL, and from his quotes, the knee injury seems to have weighed on him more. The concussion was secondary at the time to the knee injury, and it was even reported that way too. A concussion may not stop you from waking up and playing the day after, but repeated concussions and hits to the head will sure help your brain degenerate. Gronk should take a look at this list of players who've died from CTE and/or concussion-related head diseases.

Nobody ever died from an ACL tear.
