If Russell Westbrook goes off in Game 4 tonight against the Dallas Mavericks, blame Mark Cuban. After a string of solid performances in their series by Westbrook which included back-to-back games of 25+ points and 15+ assists, Cuban told ESPN's Tim McMahon that Russ' teammate Kevin Durant is the only superstar on the Oklahoma City Thunder.
After a 2015-16 campaign where Westbrook averaged double-digit (10.4) assists for the first time in his career, many would probably say that the 27-year-old point guard has clearly catapulted himself into the superstar conversation. But not Cuban. Westbrook already plays the game of basketball like a man possessed, but now, he's going to play like a man on a mission to prove the Mavs owner wrong. We would like to take this time to apologize in advance, Dallas fans.
