Today, the Chicago Bulls defeated the Philadelphia 76ers, 103-91, to take a 1-0 series lead. But all that has been overshadowed by the terrible news delivered by the team's medical staff. Derrick Rose will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL in his left knee.
With only 1:22 left in the game, D-Rose went up in the lane and immediately collapsed to the ground in obvious pain. The Bulls' doctors helped the All-Star point guard off the court and into the lockers to conduct further tests. After an MRI revealed a tear in the Anterior Cruciate Ligament of his left knee, Rose was immediately ruled out for the rest of the postseason and the upcoming Summer Olympics.
