Mr. Amrein, an eighth grade teacher at a Chicago public school, probably never thought that he would receive a personal letter from a Bears player. But after a student named Casey Bridge approached cornerback Charles "Peanut" Tillman at a fundraiser with a question about a specific math problem.
Obviously, as a Bears player for nine seasons, Tillman didn't appreciate the problem one bit. In fact, "Peanut" even wrote him a letter to express his dislike and even put in a little threat at the end (see Picture 2).
Casey ended up receiving an A on the assignment and no homework for the rest of the week. As for Mr. Amrein? According to Casey, he thought it was very funny and "only gave the problem 'based on statistics.'" Yeah, OK, good to hear you say that now with your metaphorical tail tucked between your legs.
