Dealerships in Ohio really aren't going to give up on trying to shut down Tesla's retail stores. You'd think seeing a state Senate bill fail to come to a vote and having your lawsuit dismissed would be enough, but the dealers won't relent. Now state Senator Tom Patton is proposing another law, Senate Bill 260, to ban Tesla from selling directly to customers.
Why is Patton pushing this cause so hard? It might have something to do with him receiving "at least $42,828 from state and national auto dealership owners, employees, and political action committees (PACs) between 2002 and 2013." There's your disheartening reminder of the roll money plays in politics.
