Taxi Drivers in Washington D.C. saw thousands of their European brethren piss off their very clientele to protest their competitor Uber and thought, "Hey that's a great idea. Let's piss ours off, too." So today "a caravan of angry taxi drivers" decided to follow the foot-shooting lead and close off Pennsylvania Avenue.
Meanwhile Uber, which seems to want to keep its customer base, spent its time not making life more difficult for commuters. The protest made it difficult to hail a cab, according to The Washington Post, but no word on how it affected getting an Uber. Obviously the score is:
Taxi Drivers: 1
Uber: 0
