The leap from 2015 to 2016 for the Audi R8 will have some big changes. The manual transmission will reportedly be a thing of the past, and a 5.0-liter V10 diesel will be available (although not until 2017).
While the diesel engine is exciting, many enthusiasts won't be thrilled about manual not even being an option. Sure, automatic makes it more accessible, but it also holds back those who really want control.
None of this has been confirmed by Audi, though, so we'll wait and see for final judgment.
