With tensions being what they've been between the New York Knicks and the Brooklyn Nets this offseason, sources of the New York Post have reported that the NBA set up a meeting with Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov and Knicks owner James Dolan to clear the air between the two.
It seems like a bit of an overreaction, right? What's wrong with a friendly rivalry, anyway? Apparently commissioner David Stern felt like it was gettting out of hand, and that the two men wouldn't be able to squash the beef on their own. The Post explains:
We can't lie, it's pretty awesome to see Prokhorov getting Dolan's goat like this. Next time this happens, can the league hire Vince McMahon and have the two owners settle this dispute WWE-style instead?
