The Knicks and Nets may be mired in a crosstown rivalry, but there is one thing that has reportedly brought both sides together: the possibility of bringing the NBA All-Star Game back to New York. For the first time since 1998, the All-Star Game could be headed back to the Big Apple in 2015, but there are still a few more hurdles that need to be cleared, like which arena would actually get to host the game and where will the traditional Jam Session be held since the Javits Center is already booked.
One interesting solution being thrown out is having one building host the Saturday night festivities, which include the 3-Point Shootout and Slam Dunk Contest, while the other will host the game the following night. Sounds like a great idea to us. However, the main sticking point may actually be where to hold the Jam Session. Earlier this week, NBA deputy commissioner Adam Silver spoke on the issue, saying:
