Slapping somebody's butt is all about context. Do it on the sidelines after a big play? That's cool. Do it to some stranger you're creeping on at a bar? Not cool. Because of his inability to differentiate, Bowling Green's Head Basketball Coach Chris Jans will no longer be Bowling Green's Head Basketball Coach Chris Jans. Instead he'll replace that prestigious title with a simple "unemployed."
That's because the university dumped him today after a tipster informed them of the coach's lewd behavior at a bar. Jans reportedly sexually harassed multiple women, called one a "bitch," pushed another towards his groin, and (above) slapped a woman on the butt. This career-sinking night out went down less than two weeks ago, on March 21st.
In case you're wondering, Jans was 21-12 this past season, his only year with BGSU. It took him 23 years to get his first D1 head coaching job, and in one night he blew it. Also in case you're wondering, he's a married father of two. Which means the only thing that will outweigh his professional drama is his personal drama.
