Argentina secured a dramatic 2-1 victory over Nigeria at the 2018 World Cup on Tuesday, but the real spectacle may have been in the stands. Throughout the match, legendary Argentina soccer player Diego Maradona was seen wildly celebrating from his seat outside of a luxury box.

Television cameras kept cutting to Maradona's antics and people at home couldn't resist the urge to turn him into a meme.

As the match continued, however, things started to take a dark turn as he appeared to lose energy.

Eventually, the 57-year-old could be seen losing control of himself before others had to step in and guide him to a chair inside the stadium.

An Argentine newspaper called La Nacion later reported that Maradona was treated by paramedics in the box. They checked for low blood pressure before letting him go. He was reportedly able to leave the area on his own.

Maradona helped lead Argentina to a World Cup victory in 1986 and he's considered by many to be one of the greatest players of all time.

The team's victory over Nigeria secured them a second-place finish in Group D at this year's World Cup. They will face France in the round of 16 on Saturday.
