Shannon Briggs has finally found himself a fight.
The 44-year-old heavyweight, who has made a career out of doorstepping fighters in the hope of goading them into a fight, appears to have finally tempted David Haye into facing him later this year.
Briggs gatecrashed Haye's press conference last week, as he announced a fight on May 21st with Arnold Gjergjaj. At the time, Haye advised Briggs to fight on that undercard to prove he's worthy of a shot and after being confronted by Briggs at Anthony Joshua's weigh-in at the O2 Arena, Haye confirmed that deal had been made.
Appearing on Sky Sports News, Haye said:
There's only one thing to say: let's go champ.
