Champion’s connection to the sport of basketball is well-established. The iconic US brand has been in the game for more than 100 years and, that whole time, they’ve been a part of basketball, both on and off the court. Closer to home, the brand’s logo graces jerseys right across the NBL.

Round 18 of the NBL’s 21-22 season was officially Champion Round. The brand showed out with giveaways for fans, off-court activations and a fresh Champion ‘C’ logo on the key to match up with the players’ jerseys.

Complex AU hit Saturday’s United-Hawks game as part of Champion Round to catch Jack White throwing down dunks and connecting on alley-oops for 9 first quarter points, Chris Goulding flexing a pair of the Kobe 6 ‘Grinch’ on court, and Illawarra ultimately taking the dub behind Antonius Cleveland and Xavier Rathan-Meyes’ combined 47 points.

Fans were treated to a tight game on-court and, in the stands, young fans were psyched to see the biggest thing on Australian hooper TikTok FinesseMane taking in the game and snapping pics with fans.

Champion Round concludes with two games tonight, as the NZ Breakers take on the Taipans, and Melbourne United attempts to bounce back with a tough road trip out west to take on Bryce Cotton and the Wildcats.
