Steph Curry probably thought he still had some time before he would need to start worrying about boys asking his daughter Riley to be their Valentine. After all, she’s only 3. 3! But Curry apparently thought wrong…

Before last night’s Mavericks/Warriors game, a 4-year-old boy named Lucas showed up at Oracle Arena with a sign that said “Riley, will you be my Valentine?” on it. ESPN.com reporter J.A. Adande shared a photo of him and his sign on Twitter:

Lucas was also captured holding the sign up on the JumboTron during the game:

And at one point during the night, he even got the opportunity to meet Curry to show him his sign. It was a cool moment, even though Curry clearly wasn’t ready to commit to an answer to his question:

ICYMI on our Snapchat👻"letsgowarriors", #StephCurry doesn't give an answer for lil Lucas yet. 😂😂😂 https://t.co/rccBGh6MXc

“I don’t know if the answer’s yes or no,” Curry told the boy, according to a video posted on the @LetsGoWarriors Snapchat, “but it’s good to meet you.”

Good answer, Steph. But as @LetsGoWarriors pointed out, it looks like you’re going to have your work cut out for you:

Wut?!? Apparently Lucas has to get in line! This was taken last week at Warriors-Pacers game https://t.co/wlwYTxovS0 pic.twitter.com/o9YVuuqCaQ
