Ronda Rousey Is Trying to Trademark the Catchphrase "Do Nothing B*tch"

Ronda Rousey has a new catchphrase.

Ronda Rousey is not a "do nothing bitch." She made that perfectly clear prior to her recent fight against Bethe Correia. She was asked for her thoughts on those who say that she has a "masculine" body during an interview, and she responded to it by throwing shots at anyone who is a "do nothing bitch."

"People like to say that my body looks masculine," she said. "I'm like, 'Listen, just because my body was developed for a purpose other than fucking millionaires doesn't mean it's masculine.' I think it's femininely badass as fuck, because there isn't a single muscle in my body that isn't used for a purpose, because I'm not a do nothing bitch."

She went on to explain that a "do nothing bitch" is someone who "tries to be pretty and be taken care of by someone else." And a short time after she defeated Correia at UFC 190, she decided that she was going to try and use the phrase to do some good. She created a limited-edition "Don't Be A D.N.B." T-shirt, sold more than 50,000 of them, and plans to use the proceeds to benefit a mental health charity.

And now, it sounds like she's going to try to continue to use the phrase. According to ESPN's Darren Rovell, Rousey's company Rowdy Ronda Inc. has filed for a trademark for the term "Do Nothing Bitch" as well as the shortened form of it "D.N.B." It's unclear what Rousey plans to use the trademarks for, but there's a chance she could continue to manufacture apparel with the words on it. And if she does, it'd be a pretty badass move on her part. She would essentially be taking something she said while responding to her critics and turning it into a lucrative opportunity for herself.

Stay tuned to see if she is able to obtain the trademark. In other Rousey news, she also just announced that she will be fighting Holly Holm at UFC 195 on January 2, 2016:
