He hasn't had his driver's license for very long, but Justin Bieber has already assembled quite the driving record. Last year, he was stopped in L.A. after he cut off a California Highway patrolman in his custom "Batman" Cadillac CTS-V Coupe. He was let off with just a warning, but not before the paparazzi snapped a bunch of shots of him and his car and turned it into a big story. Surprisingly, that wasn't the first time Biebs made the news for something related to his rides. In fact, he's been involved in so many incidents involving cars that we have compiled a history of Justin Bieber's Craziest Car Moments. Buckle up. This is gonna be a bumpy ride.
11. The Great Driver's License Controversy
The Date: April 14, 2010
What Happened: Shortly after turning 16, Biebs hit the DMV office in Atlanta with his mom to apply for his driver's license. He didn't have to wait in line (if you've ever been a DMV, you know how much of a hassle the lines are). He was in and out in no time, and he even convinced the lady at the photo counter to let him take a few different photos so that he wouldn't be stuck with a crappy shot on his license for the next four years.
10. Take That, Take That!
Date: July 20, 2010
What Happened: A few months after Bieber told People magazine that Diddy had promised to give him the keys to his white Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder when he turned 16, Biebs was spotted driving it in L.A. with Sean Kingston in the passenger's seat.
9. A Super Sweet 16
Date: March 22, 2010
What Happened: For Bieber's 16th birthday, his mentor, Usher, gave him the keys to a brand-new Range Rover. "Usher helped me buy a car," he says. "He bought me a Range Rover. I can drive."
8. All Hail the Biebermobile
Date: Feb. 9, 2011
What Happened: Ellen couldn't afford to give Biebs a Range like Usher or a Lambo like Diddy. But just a few weeks before his 17th birthday, she did set him up with the Biebermobile—a custom E-Z-GO golf cart that included a photo of his face, a photo of Ellen's face, and his trademark hair overtop of the windshield.
7. Wanna Race?
Date: July 13, 2011
What Happened: Okay, so technically this doesn't have anything to do with Bieber's rides or his driving skills. But he certainly looked the part of a driver at the 2011 ESPY Awards in Los Angeles when he presented an award with Danica Patrick dressed in full race-car driving gear.
6. We Need Backup!
Date: July 29, 2011
What Happened: After getting behind the wheel of Sean Kingston's Rolls-Royce in Miami Beach, Biebs decided to drop the top as the duo made their way down Ocean Drive. They were quickly spotted by a large group of fans who surrounded the car and refused to move. As a result, police were alerted to Bieber driving the Rolls and pulled him over because they couldn't believe that someone so young was behind the wheel of the car.
5. You Got Punked
Date: Aug. 1, 2011
What Happened: Biebs recently uploaded a bunch of TwitVids featuring him "cone-ing" at different Los Angeles fast-food restaurants. If you're not familiar with this activity, it involves ordering an ice-cream cone from a place like McDonald's and then grabbing the cone from the ice cream end in order to freak out the cashier. JB decided to do it while driving a Mercedes-Benz. In one of the clips, he nearly crashes into the wall of the restaurant.
4. False Alarm
Date: Aug. 30, 2011
What Happened: When a Honda Civic tapped a Ferrari F430 that Bieber was driving in L.A., he decided that he'd better be safe than sorry and call police to file a report. The only problem? The cops got there and told him that there wasn't even enough damage to the car to take a report.
3. Go, Speed Racer
Date: Aug. 30, 2011
What Happened: Shortly before Bieber got into a minor fender-bender with a Honda Civic, he was reportedly involved in a race with Everlast from House of Pain. The rapper tweeted, "I just raced @justinbieber down Ventura in his Ferrari. I won but a fedex truck got in his way."
2. All Electric Everything
Ellen DeGeneres is great about using her show to highlight and celebrate others that have consistently and humbly displayed their selfless characteristics. She's also great about getting big names to appear on her show. Tapping both abilities, Ellen brought pop sensation Justin Bieber on her show to celebrate his 18th birthday (yes, ladies, he's officially legal now).
To reward the young adult for being so giving and great to his fans (he had a Make-A-Wish kid for all 86 North American shows and requested no cameras), Bieb's main man Scooter Braun and his mentor Usher got him a special gift. Despite Braun's persistent instruction not to get anything flashy, he bent his rules a bit and bought a Fisker Karma, an extremely rare American sports car from the mind of Henrik Fisker. The vehicle gets its power from a dual-power 402-horsepower hybrid engine. Get ready, homie, you just added thousands of tree-hugging babes to the millions of girls already in love with you.
1. Holy Custom Cadillac, Batman!
Date: Oct. 27, 2011
What Happened: While weaving in and out of traffic in his custom "Batman" Cadillac CTS-V Coupe, alongside Sean Kingston in his Rolls-Royce and another friend in his Range Rover, Biebs accidentally cut off a California Highway patrolman and was pulled over. He managed to escape with just a warning, and it gave him a chance to give the world a closer look at his custom ride.
