Want to know why pro athletes typically give canned, cliché answers when they're asked about other athletes? Look no further than Jared Dudley's Twitter mentions right now. Earlier today, the Bucks forward did a series of interviews on ESPN shows. And during one interview in particular with Colin Cowherd, he provided some very honest—and very unpopular—opinions on Kobe Bryant and Carmelo Anthony.
Dudley revealed that there are a lot of NBA players who don't want to play with Kobe. He also said that he feels Carmelo is the most overrated player in the league. And while we appreciated his honesty—about 95 percent of NBA players would have said something like, "Kobe and Carmelo are such great players," when they were asked about them—there are more than a few people who didn't like what Dudley said. So they've spent all day slandering him on social media.
The hate is so crazy right now that, even though Dudley's ESPN appearances ended hours ago, his name is still trending on Twitter. Scroll down to see what people are saying about him and how much crap he's catching for simply giving his opinion. Think about this the next time you change the channel during a boring interview with your favorite athlete.
