Are the 49ers really thinking about getting rid of their starting quarterback Colin Kaepernick? It's a question that a lot of people on Twitter started asking early this morning after Houston sports talk radio host Jayson Braddock sent this tweet out indicating that the Niners were shopping Kaepernick around:

But according to 49ers general manager Trent Baalke, Kaepernick "is not going anywhere." After Kaepernick's name started trending on Twitter—with NFL fans speculating about where he might land in a trade—Baalke released a statement and shot down the rumors surrounding his team's QB.

"Colin is our quarterback and we are excited to have him," Baalke said in the statement. "He is not going anywhere. The media reports suggesting otherwise are without merit and, quite frankly, ridiculous."

ESPN's Adam Schefter also reached out to a 49ers official to get a comment on the possibility of Kaepernick being traded. And he was told that there is "0 percent truth" to the rumor that Braddock started:

Well-placed 49ers official on report that SF is seeking to trade QB Colin Kaepernick: "Totally false. 0% truth."

So while we'll definitely keep an eye on this situation, it doesn't sound like a trade involving Kaepernick is going to happen.
