Rest in Peace to Jae Crowder, Who Caught a Case of the DeMarcus Cousins

Another youth caught at the wrong place at the wrong time.

1.

I don't personally know Jae Crowder, but he seemed like a decent guy. He had a great future ahead of him, too. That's what makes this news heartbreaking.

On Friday night, Crowder got bodied by DeMarcus Cousins in Sacramento during an ill-conceived attempt to take a charge. He was 24.

Crowder, a Marquette alumnus and former Big East Player of the Year, was traded to the Celtics in December after stints with the Mavericks and the D-League. Crowder was looking to make his name in Boston. But he can't anymore. Because, you see, Crowder is no more. Cousins killed him.
