Houston Texans wide receiver Kenny Stills was arrested on Tuesday, after he attended a protest in Louisville, Kentucky calling for the prosecution of the officers responsible for the death of Breonna Taylor.

Stills was one of the 87 people arrested outside of Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron's house, where peaceful protesters gathered to put pressure on local authorities. He was charged with Intimidating a Participant in a Legal Process, Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree, and Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree," the Louisville Metro Police confirmed. The police officers who employed a "no-knock warrant" and fatally shot Breonna Taylor, however, have yet to face any action for their role in her death.

Stills and many of the other protesters have since been released from jail on Wednesday, and people on Twitter are rallying behind the Texans player due to the hypocrisy over the lack of action regarding Taylor's killers. YBN Cordae, Trae Tha Truth, and Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams were also arrested during the protest.

Here’s what we’re hearing from those who were released from jail: ‘no social distancing, at least 20 people in on cell, had to beg for water, one girl needed medication and never got it, miranda rights not read to them.’ Until Freedom has a legal team to help. #BreonnaTaylor

Upon his release on Wednesday, Stills shared his mugshot. "Arrested for peacefully protesting. While Breonna Taylor's murderers are still out on the street," he wrote alongside the mugshot, which features him wearing a t-shirt that reads, "Breonna Taylor's killers are still police."

Officers Jonathan Mattingly, Brett Hankinson, and Myles Cosgrove used a battering ram to force open the door to Taylor's apartment, where her boyfriend Kenneth Walker also resided. When police broke down the door, Walker, a registered gun owner, fired at the officers after yelling "Who is it?" multiple times. He received no response, and believed that someone was breaking in. Walker struck an officer in the leg, and they fired over 20 rounds in response. Breonna Taylor was sleeping at the time, and was shot at least eight times. She was pronounced dead at the scene. None of the officers have faced any charges thus far.

See reactions to Stills' arrest below.

So Kenny Stills got arrested for protesting the murder of Breonna Taylor before the cops who actually murdered her as she slept in her own bed. Meanwhile, the President of the United States defends the Confederate flag and calls COVID-19 the Kung Flu. Yeah, our country is racist.

Kenny Stills:
- stood on a lawn
- asked for justice
- got arrested

Cops that killed Breonna Taylor:
- kicked in her door
- killed her
- didn't get arrested@KSTiLLS has officially spent more time in jail fighting for justice than the known killers who killed Breonna Taylor.

Kenny Stills @KSTiLLS is the real deal. And has been for a while.

I keep saying this but ⁦@KSTiLLS⁩ is one of the true heroes of this movement. In it from the start and hasn’t stopped fighting. I don’t use the word hero lightly but it applies.

Just so we’re clear, Moscow Mitch’s buddy in Kentucky just had NFL star Kenny Stills arrested for protesting, but is refusing to have the cops who murdered Breonna Taylor arrested. They’re saying it right there.

#Texans Kenny Stills via Instagram live: “They arrested us at 6pm (yesterday) and we just got out now”

They are waiting for the rest of their people to be released. No one in the video was angry. They are still going about this peacefully.

Kenny Stills was arrested for protesting for the arrest of the officers who murdered Breonna Taylor.

In true American fashion, he was arrested before they were. The system works perfectly for those who designed it.

So...... you mean to tell me Kenny Stills got arrested before Breonna Taylor’s killers. Make it make sense.

— Glen Gibbons (@GlenGibbonsjr) July 15, 2020

So Kentucky will arrest Kenny Stills for protesting, but not the cops who murdered Breonna Taylor? Says it all.
