Michael Rapaport took to Instagram Tuesday, where he shared a DM conversation between himself and Kevin Durant. In the post’s caption, the actor accused KD of being “threatening” and wanting to fight, which the series of screencaps corroborates.
The exchange took place after Rapaport tweeted that KD seemed “deeply in his feelings” after an interview on TNT, adding that he was “super sensitive about everything.” That’s when the Brooklyn Nets star fired back via Instagram DMs, calling the comedian a “b*tch,” among many other derogatory insults that shall not be repeated here.
The conversation (if you can call it that) also included Durant taking umbrage with Charles Barkley, telling Rapaport to tell his “baby daddy Chuck to be better at his job and frame the questions better.”
Of course, it didn’t end there. After Rapaport provoked KD again by calling him an “idiot” on his Stories, KD hit back, asking for his address and saying he’d spit in his face. While it’s unclear if these messages are connected or how selective Rapaport was at screenshotting them, they go on to show KD calling him a litany of bad words, and saying that Rapaport’s wife doesn’t respect him.
“Trump didn’t pay attention to your sorry ass so now u wanna use everybody else to get views and laughs,” Durant wrote.
KD also brought up Rapaport’s defamation suit against Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, which a judge recently dismissed.
Rapaport then made it clear that KD’s account wasn’t hacked. “This is supposed to be America’s sweetheart right? KD didn’t get ‘hacked’ either. Hold this L champ,” he wrote in the post’s caption.
Durant eventually responded in the comments, writing that he would “never fight Mike” and that the “Portnoy thing was too far.” He also retweeted a photo of Rapaport sitting on the sidelines of a Nets game.
“Wow u acting brand new now,” KD wrote on IG. “We been talking like this for years and you get serious today. Wowww. Smhhh.” He also wrote a comment in which he outright apologized.
Despite KD’s claims that this kind of banter was common between the two, Rapaport wasn’t having it.
“Me and mike talk CRAZIER than this on the regular and today he’s pissed….My bad mike, damn!!” Durant tweeted, to which Rapaport responded, “No we don’t P*ssy! Don’t ever threaten me again or speak on my Wife ever. Bald Head Rotten Ass Worm.”
