Steve Kerr announced at his pre-game press conference tonight that sure-to-be back-to-back-MVP Stephen Curry will not play in the Warriors' game tonight at the Houston Rockets. The Warriors lead the series 2-0.

Curry, who injured his right ankle in Game One, reportedly wanted to play, but Kerr thought better of it, called it an "easy" decision, and said it would be "irresponsible" to play Curry.

Curry did go through the pre-game shootaround. Here he is entering the Toyota Center before tonight's game:

In Curry's absence, Shaun Livingston will get the start, Draymond Green will primarily run the offense, and Andre Iguodala should see lots of minutes.

The Warriors are 3-1 without their leader this season. Ironically, he last missed a road game Dec. 31, 2015, in Houston; the Warriors won that game, 114-110.

Really, until the Rockets show they can hang with the Warriors, can you blame Kerr for being prudent? The game tips at 9:30 p.m. EST on TNT.
