Mean Streets Records boss and radio regular Trends has been plotting the next release on his label, the Trilogy Vol. 1 EP, as well as a vinyl sampler that includes a track from rising producer Silas and a collaboration between himself and P Jam. To kick things off he's today revealed the P Jam collab, "Truth Or Die", a bone-crunching production that sets the scene for what should be a colossal addition to his label's flawless output.
"Truth Or Die" erupts from the speaker with all the horror-tinged menace of Trends' and Boylan's iconic "Norman Bates" riddim, screeching and stabbing with a relentless energy above the chest-punching bass. There's not a single second wasted here and its jumpy rhythms and dramatic tone will test the mettle of any MC brave enough to take it on.
The vinyl drops on May 25 followed by the digital release on May 29.
