Despite a few stop-starts in an otherwise bright career, East London rapper Rimzee is back to add to his collection of road rap heaters with his drilly new single "G Wagon" — his first drop of 2020 following last December's "Rapper Trapper".
Jumping on Fumes Beats' bass-laced, R&B-tinged production, Rimzee doesn't shy away from letting us know his truth. His steady, assertive flow backs up his rhymes of the struggle, of him getting stabbed, of his time in prison, but also about the finer things in life — like shopping in Harrods, and a Parisian beauty.
The self-directed visuals capture the Hackney rhymer cruising around London in his G Wagon, interspersed with shots of him in a prison cell as he counts down the days to freedom.
