Lillard and Bagley have been in a rap battle after Bagley challenged the sometime rapper during Thursday's episode of First Take. Bagley boldly declared himself the "best MC in the NBA," and said he was open to a lyrical battle with Lillard. The Portland point guard has a number of full-length projects under his belt and has big-name collaborations with 2 Chainz, Lil Wayn, and BJ the Chicago Kid.

Lillard accepted the challenge on Twitter, saying he wouldn't take the rap battle to First Take, "but if that’s what he want ... shoot." Bagley proceeded to drop the first track "No Debate." Just hours later, Lillard responded with "MARVINNNNNN!!!???" The two entered the second round on Friday, Damian D.O.L.L.A. firing a consecutive shot with "BYE BYE" and Bagley dropping off "Checkmate."

While accepting Bagley's challenge, the Trailblazers star also took the opportunity to promote his upcoming album, which is expected to drop this summer.

On news outside of the booth, it was recently reported that Damian Lillard has joined the cast for the Ryan Coogler-produced Space Jam 2. The much anticipated movie, which stars LeBron James, will also include Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson, and WNBA's Diana Taurasi and Nneka Ogwumike.

"The Space Jam collaboration is so much more than just me and the Looney Tunes getting together and doing this movie," James previously told the Hollywood Reporter. "It's so much bigger. I'd just love for kids to understand how empowered they can feel and how empowered they can be if they don't just give up on their dreams. And I think Ryan did that for a lot of people."

The film will be directed by Terence Nance and is set for a July 16, 2021 release.
