Kevin Durant is in talks with Toronto's superstar Kawhi Leonard to potentially work out a deal where they end up on the same team, according to ESPN's reporters Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne. Woj claimed on Twitter that there are two teams where this scenario is possible: the KD-courting Knicks and the Kawhi-thirsty Clippers

Reporting w/ @RamonaShelburne: Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard have been discussing free agent scenarios that could include a future with them playing together. For now, there are two clear possibilities for them to sign into the same franchise: Clippers and Knicks. Story soon.

The Los Angeles Clippers' pull on Leonard has taken a hit in recent days, as the other, more popular Los Angeles team has freed up enough cap space to land a third A-lister. If the Clippers could promise that Kawhi would play alongside KD, that would at least make Leonard hesitate before jumping into a team with LeBron James and Anthony Davis with both feet.

It's the second such paired deal to the Clippers that has been floated as a possibility this week, with other insiders saying that the Clippers were looking into the possibility of pairing Kawhi with Jimmy Butler. Of course, all this arithmetic goes out the window if Leonard decides to stay on with a team where he just won an NBA championship.
