Portland Trail Blazers shooting guard C.J. McCollum went viral last year when he provided a simple, but hilarious response to a Twitter user asking him and his team to win a playoff game. "I'm trying Jennifer," he tweeted.

He's done well during these playoffs, dispatching the Thunder and Nuggets in thrilling fashion. One reporter reminded McCollum of the Twitter exchange after his Game 1 win against Oklahoma City.

"I almost forgot you Jennifer," he said. "You a legend."

Over half a year later, the two finally met when a grinning McCollum interrupted a recent interview of hers. "I responded randomly, I seen it and I thought it was funny so I just responded," he said. McCollum made sure to use the face-to-face moment to thank Jennifer for motivating him.

Unfortunately for McCollum, the Golden State Warriors bested the Trail Blazers during their game on Thursday night, coming out on top 114-111. Regardless, NBA Twitter loved the moment finally coming full circle.
