Chicago's deal to acquire Washington's Otto Porter for Bobby Portis and Jabari Parker includes a 2023 second-round pick to the Wizards, league source tells ESPN.

Porter has been going through a down 2018-19 campaign, averaging 12.6 points per game while shooting 45.7 percent from the field, his lowest since the 2014-15 season. Porter is also expected to make $55.7 million over the remaining two years on his current contract. Those two factors alone could lead to Bulls fans wondering what the hell they were thinking by trading for Otto. But the Chicago faithful should hear these people out before hitting the panic button.

Otto Porter is a good player, don't care about his contract because Bulls weren't signing anyone anyway and cap is only going up.

Fits in great with the current team.

Otto Porter Jr is skilled player at the wing position. He was given a very big contract by the #Wizards a few years back, and to a point hasnt lived up to expectations, but he'll be given a fresh start by the #Bulls in Chicago. Lets just see what the kid can do.

For everyone talking about Otto Porter’s contract what were the Bulls saving money for? No free agents are coming. Try to get a top pick and roll with the young core (also fire Boylen and Gar)

If you don't like the Bulls owing Otto Porter $55 million the next two years, who would you rather they spend $60 million on over three years this summer? Wes Matthews? Ariza? Tyreke Evans?

Bulls just traded for a player that makes them better for the first time since John Salmons and Brad Miller came together in 2009. I'm not making that up.

Great move. Otto Porter helps the Bulls so, so much.
