Shannon Sharpe Shades Antonio Brown for Blowing Ben Roethlisberger's Throw

Fox Football analyst Shannon Sharpe took a dig at Steelers WR Antonio Brown on Twitter after Brown miscommunicated with Ben Roethlisberger on a late route.

The Steelers got a much needed 30-27 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night. However, their victory was in doubt late in the fourth on a third and nine. There appeared to be miscommunication between WR Antonio Brown and QB Ben Roethlisberger on the ensuing incompletion.

Brown ran a go route, and Ben thought he'd break it off. When the ball sailed out of bounds, Roethlisberger appeared angry and slammed his helmet into the ground. He apologized for the display after the game, and AB said the apology wasn't necessary:

Antonio Brown, who’s back to smiling, said Ben Roethlisberger doesn’t need to apologize for the missed third-down play, then explained why affirmation from Big Ben is like getting groceries. pic.twitter.com/CbN0YGSasz

Getting the win removes a lot of tension surrounding the Steelers so far this season. Professional hot take artiste Shannon Sharpe couldn't help but assign blame to AB after the blunder, though:

AB, that route adjustment was discussed when you didn’t show up on Monday. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Sharpe's referencing how Antonio missed practice on Monday, following a cryptic tweet he sent that day alluding to a possible trade away from the Steelers. Harmony was restored later in the week, unlike the Le'Veon Bell situation, and Brown caught his second TD of the season in the win:

.@AB84 TD = Handshakes for EVERYONE. 🙌 #HereWeGo https://t.co/1PSzd6WRl1

But Sharpe isn't paid solely for meme fodder. He's stirring things up again hoping Brown again takes the bait, and he can get a segment out of it for his show.
