Kobe Bryant Says Ben Simmons Needs to Rebuild His Jump Shot From Scratch

Kobe thinks Simmons needs to make some big changes if he's to become a superstar.

Ben Simmons might be doing pretty well for himself, consistently showing off his skills on the court, but Kobe Bryant still thinks there's a key area that still needs improving on. All 11 of the three pointers that he's tried to shoot for this year have missed, and it's become an evident issue for a lot of fans. Speaking on Chris and Caron on Fox Sports Radio, Kobe Bryant thinks Simmons simply needs to go back to the drawing board for his jump shot.

As UPROXX points out via Chris Mannix on Facebook, Kobe explained, "Just aesthetically I would say build that thing anew [Laughs]. I don’t think the game came down to that though. I think on a fundamental level, being able to get open off the ball is what did them in."

He says that, while it's not what's all to blame for the 76ers recent loss, it's something that needs to be thought about going forward.

Explaining further, he added, "They just tried to pop free for the ball, and in that situation you can’t do that. You got to put your body on your defender, hold them off and now you got to pop for the ball. Those are just basic, fundamental things, but those little fundamental things are what cost teams playoff series’ and eventual championships. So it’s those little fundamental things that you’ve really got to focus on from Day 1 in training camp, because if you lose sight of that it comes back to haunt you."
