If you live in or near the Denver area, and want an extra $10 to spend, then we oddly have a deal for you. During his appearance on The Vic Lombardi Show on Thursday, Nuggets head coach Mike Malone said he's offering $10 to every person who attends next Tuesday's home game against the Los Angeles Clippers. If your immediate reaction to this news is that there's gotta be a catch, you would be correct because the $10 that Malone is providing to each attendee comes in the form of a food voucher. You can almost hear the collective "FOH" from here, right?
"Any fan that comes to the Pepsi Center that night, we’re going to give a $10 voucher for them to use at their discretion," Malone says at the eight-minute mark in the stream above. "You want to buy a beer, a soda, a pretzel, nachos, whatever it is. That is us saying ‘thank you’ for making Pepsi Center one of the toughest places to play in the NBA."
Now, before you completely dismiss this opportunity, let's keep in mind what's on the line that night. The Nuggets are clinging to a half-game lead over the eighth-place New Orleans Pelicans. Who knows where they will be once Tuesday rolls around? Meanwhile, the Clippers are fighting to get back into the playoff picture as the regular season hits the home stretch. The Nuggets need all the support they can get, and there's nothing like playing in front of a packed house. As for the fans, they get free food. Need we say more?
