You might not know who Jaden Newman is yet, but at the age of just 13, she has already accomplished some pretty incredible things during her basketball career. She started playing for Downey Christian High School in Orlando, Florida when she was in just third grade. She became the youngest female player to ever reach the 1,000-point mark at the high school level when she was in just sixth grade (her brother Julian accomplished the same thing when he hit the 1,000-point mark in the seventh grade). And oh, did we mention that she once beat Steph Curry in a 3-point contest? Yeah, she did that, too.

Jaden is now in the eighth grade, and even though she’s still not technically a high school player, she continues to completely outplay her competition and set new marks. This season, she is averaging an astounding 45.7 points per game for Downey Christian, and during a recent game against Discovery High School, Jaden—who is 5-foot-1—dropped 70 points. She did it by making more than 70 percent of the three-pointers she took. And when it was all said and done, she tied a national record set by current Duke senior Rebecca Greenwell back in 2013 by making 17 three-pointers overall.

After the game, Jaden stated the obvious by saying she felt like she couldn’t miss during the game. "I just kept making everything," she said, according to ESPNW.

But she already has her sights set on breaking the mark she just tied—and she’s not planning on waiting long to do it. "I want us to keep winning, and I really want to break the record with 18 threes," she said. "Maybe next week in our next game."

As you’ll see when you press play on the clip above, the defense in the Downey/Discovery game was… not great. Even though Jaden was obviously on fire, Discovery didn’t seem to do much to try and slow her down.

But still, 17 threes is 17 threes and 70 points is 70 points, no matter how you slice it, and this girl is definitely going to become a problem once she gets to the next level. But for now, she’ll have to just continue doing what she’s already been doing, which is tearing up the same high school courts she’s dominated for the last five years of her life.

Check out the clip above to see her shrug all over the court as she makes shot after shot.
