The day after he received the "Icon Award" at the 2016 ESPYs, Kobe Bryant attended yet another award show, though this one was probably a little more distinguished. Bryant received the "Legend Award" at the taping of the Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards on Thursday night.

Upon receiving the blimp-shaped trophy, which will undoubtedly be placed on his shelf right next to his five NBA Championship rings and MVP Award, Mamba gave a speech, and then got blasted with about 1,000 gallons of gold slime because, after 25 years, that simple act is still making kids go bonkers:

Never change Nickelodeon.

Afterwards, a shot of Bryant doused in the hopefully non-toxic paint or whatever it is was posted to the Instagram page of J.R. Smith, who was in attendance with his kids. You likely won't find a better shot of the results of said sliming:

Though you'll almost certainly regret it if you do, you can watch the show when it airs at 8 E.T. on Sunday.
