Remember the time Kobe Bryant jumped over a speeding car? Uh, yeah. By now, you’ve probably realized that that moment wasn’t real. Kobe was never in any real danger during that jump.

Stuntman Damien Walters was in real danger when the video above was filmed, though. He agreed to attempt to backflip over a speeding Formula E car in Mexico City recently during what was later called the “Leap of Faith.” He practiced his jump over and over and over again with the help of Formula E driver Alistair Whitton before he voluntarily walked out into the middle of the race track and stood backwards (!!!) while Whitton drove in his direction. And when Whitton got close enough to him, Walters did a backflip and successfully sailed right over the car without getting clipped.

This should go without saying, but…DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME! Or anywhere for that matter. Even Whitton thinks Walters is insane for doing what he did:

You can take a look at what Whitton saw as he was driving towards Walters in this clip:

It's amazing and terrifying at the same time. If you want to watch Walters do more stuff like this, you can check out his YouTube page here.
