The 49ers Have Taken All Their Colin Kaepernick Gear Off the Clearance Rack Since Hiring Chip Kelly

Coincidence? Probably not.

Now that the 49ers have hired Chip Kelly, there’s no way they’re going to give up Colin Kaepernick in the offseason, right?

It’s probably safe to assume that (though, for what it’s worth, it was also safe to assume that the Eagles wouldn’t trade star running back LeSean McCoy last offseason and, well…). The Niners were well on their way to releasing Kaepernick, but with Kelly in the mix, they’d be stupid not to give him one more chance. And judging by what they just did in their online team store, it looks like they’re going to give it to him.

Back in November, reporter Mike Rosenberg pointed out that a whole bunch of Kaepernick gear had been deeply discounted on the team site:

But earlier today, he checked the store again and—surprise!—everything is full price again:

Additionally, there is no Blaine Gabbert gear in sight:

So…yeah. Kaepernick is here to stay, right? You never know with Chip (so whatever you do, DON'T ORDER A FULL-PRICE COLIN KAEPERNICK JERSEY!), but the 49ers QB should be back next season.
