Ronaldo has finally overtaken Bacelona star Neymar to become the most popular footballer on Instagram after passing 33.5 million followers – beating the Brazilian forward's tally of 33.3 million.
In something of a surprise, Ronaldo's great rival – Lionel Messi – is actually pretty off the pace when it comes to Instagram influence. The man many consider to be the world's greatest has *only* 26.7 million followers.
Ronaldo's Instagram game is heavy on selfies.
Cristiano Ronaldo is on a mission to claim ownership of the term selfie, having taken over six in the past week alone.
It seems a little crazy but when each shot gets almost a million likes, he can't be wrong.
