Breaking his leg and overcoming rehab got Paul George feeling like he could takeover the world.
George saw some time on court toward the end of last season, but he's getting ready to play the full 82 games this year. But is he going to be back and better than ever? That's a yes, according to him. In fact, he proclaimed in an interview with USA TODAY Sports that he's the best player in the league.
“I honestly feel that this is my time to prove it," George said after making the claim. "There's always going to be people's opinions. There's always going to be people thinking otherwise. But this is my time to prove it, and I'm ready. I'm ready to show the world.”
We'll keep you updated on when Kevin Durant and LeBron James announce they've officially decided to retire and skip the 2014-15 season. Kidding. George isn't wrong for making the claim. If you play with the best, you ought to believe you are the best.
