The on-going saga between Jason Pierre-Paul, the DE who lost his index finger and part of his thumb on his right hand after a fireworks accident this summer, and the New York Giants has been never-ending. For months now, no one has had any idea when Pierre-Paul would once again don a Giants uniform, or if he would even play for the team again. Finally, following the Giants Week 7 win against the Dallas Cowboys, we have an answer.

Source: #Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul will report Mon or Tues with intent to sign tender, play ASAP. Obviously, it's all pending a physical

Jason Cole of Bleacher Report is reporting that Pierre-Paul will report to the Giants as early as Monday, with the intention of signing a tender so he can immediately begin practicing and possibly play next weekend against the New Orleans Saints. It was reported in September that the Giants were renegotiating Pierre-Paul's contract.

Cole says the whole deal is pending a physical, which would still seem dicey considering the whole loss of fingers thing. But this is the first subtantial report involving Pierre-Paul and playing actual football, and it appears as if his return to the Giants is now imminent.
