Jameis Winston Not Famous Enough to Get Into Tampa Bar Wearing Shorts

Sorry, rookie, wear pants next time.

When I was Jameis Winston's age, getting turned down at the door of the club for dress code violations was pretty much an every weekend thing for me. It was the mid 2000s and I was routinely wearing baggy jeans and long white Ts, so…yeah. I got used to hearing the word "no" a lot.

I wasn't on the verge of launching an NFL career, though, so, looking back now, it was kind of to be expected. But Winston is about to kick off his rookie season with the Buccaneers soon, so there's no way he'd get turned down at a Tampa, Fla. bar because of his attire, right? Wrong. Winston might be the best thing to happen to Tampa's football team, but apparently, he still needs to adhere to the dress code when he frequents Tampa's establishments.

In the photo above, you can see Winston standing outside of a Tampa bar called Blue Martini in a pair of shorts. Problem is, Blue Martini doesn't allow anyone wearing shorts inside, so Winston wasn't allowed in.

"It was nothing personal," a Blue Martini manager told TMZ Sports. "He was not allowed inside because he did not meet the standards of the dress code."

I feel your pain, Jameis! Though, to be fair to the bar, you didn't look like you put forth a whole lot of effort for this night out.
