Chris Paul Grabs Hamstring, Exits Crucial Game 7 Against the San Antonio Spurs in the First Quarter (UPDATE)

Chris Paul exits game seven with an apparent hamstring injury

After running up court and hitting a 3-pointer late in the first quarter of Game 7 against the San Antonio Spurs, Chris Paul headed straight to the Los Angeles Clippers bench clutching his left hamstring.

As the trainers began to speak with him, Paul buried his head in hands, perhaps signifying that the injury could knock him out for the rest of the game. He headed to the locker room shortly after.

Paul left with five points and three assists, and the Clippers will be hard pressed to advance to the second round without their floor general. Paul was averaging 22 points and and eight assists per game in the series, stat totals the Clippers can just not afford to lose. Stay with us for updates on Paul's status.

UPDATE: Paul has returned to the bench. He is questionable to return with a left hamstring strain.

UPDATE #2: Paul re-entered the game around the 6:30 mark of the second quarter.
