The Oklahoma City Thunder can't catch a break. After running in to teammate Andre Robertson's knee in a game against the Portland Trail Blazers last night, which gave the dude an actual dent in his face, it was discovered Russell Westbrook has fractured his cheek. Today, Yahoo Sports' Marc J. Spears is reporting that Westbrook went through a procedure to treat the injury, and will be re-evaluated next week.

Not only are Kevin Durant and Westbrook both out at the same time again, but Westbrook was having the February of his life. Westbrook put up four triple-doubles, and averaged 31 points and 10 assists in 12 games. This is like taking a man on fire and tossing him in a dunk tank. Hopefully Westbrook is good to go after his check up in a week, and isn't out for a prolonged period of time. The Thunder are holding on to that eighth spot for dear life, now just a half game up on the New Orleans Pelicans.
The only person happy about all this? Dion Waiters. Dude stays plotting for more shots on the low.

UPDATE: Adrian Wojnarowksi is hearing Russ won't be missing much time. Phew.
Russell Westbrook won't miss much time with surgery. "If he had a playoff game (Sunday), he could play," league source tells Yahoo Sports.
