Last night, Phil Jackson attended Ohio State's 81-57 win against Nebraska to check out talented freshman D'Angelo Russell. Some OSU students took a photo of him sitting in the stands and posted it to Twitter:
But his trip to Columbus, Ohio might come at a price. Because according to Yahoo! Sports, the NBA is thinking about fining the Knicks team president for something that he said about Russell when the Cleveland Plain Dealer asked Jackson for a comment after the game.
"He's a great-looking kid," Jackson said. "Great prospect."
NBA rules prohibit team executives from talking about draft prospects while they're still in college. So as of right now, the NBA is trying to decide whether or not they should fine Jackson. Stay tuned to see if they actually do it.
