Muhammad Ali—considered one of the greatest boxers of all-time and certainly one of the sport’s most colorful personalities—has been admitted to a Louisville hospital with a “minor case” of pneumonia. The Champ has been living with Parkinson's disease for many years, so any sort of health scare raises immediate concern.

Ali spokesman Bob Gunnell says that there is no cause for alarm, however. “He was admitted earlier [Saturday] morning,” he said, “and because the pneumonia was caught early, his prognosis is good with a short hospital stay expected.”

Ali has seen his public appearances greatly decline in recent years, although he did appear onstage at his Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Awards presentation in September. Here’s hoping he makes a speedy recovery.
