Last night, Cam Newton jumped on Instagram to share his thoughts on the car accident that he got into earlier this week. He reflected on life, his faith, and the fact that he's still alive in the IG post, which he tagged with the hashtag #THANKyouJESUSforALLOWINGmeTOseeANOTHERday.

A short time ago, the Panthers quarterback also spoke with the NFL Network for the first time since the accident and reiterated some of the same points that he made in his IG post.

"I'm lucky to be standing in front of you guys right now," he said.

Additionally, he answered some questions about the accident. For example, he was asked why he was spotted smiling a short time after the accident and said that it was because he couldn't believe he had survived.

"I'm looking at this truck and thinking, someone's supposed to be dead," he said. "I couldn't stop smiling."

He also revealed that he doesn't know—or care—when he's going to play football again.

"As far as when I'm coming back?" he asked. "Who cares? I'm just thankful to have breath in my lungs."

And he brought up something that a lot of people—selfishly—thought about first when they heard about his accident: Fantasy football.

"I'm on somebody's fantasy [team]," he said, "and I think it's the man upstairs."

It's good to hear that Cam is doing well. Now let's hope he's able to get back on the field soon.
