Amid a four game losing streak and a 5-7 record to start the season, the Cleveland Cavaliers are very clearly struggling to gel after adding superstars LeBron James and Kevin Love this summer. After yet another loss last night—this one a 110-93 blowout at the hands of the Toronto Raptors—James said that “We're a very fragile team right now…Any little adversity hits us, we just shell up.”

While hearing a comment like this out of their best player can’t make the Cavs feels good, it’s also undoubtedly true. It may be easy to compare this rough start to what happened with James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh in Miami, but the major difference is that Wade and Bosh had both already won before the three of them got together.

Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love have a combined zero playoff appearances between them, and indeed neither has experienced a winning season in the NBA. Love, in particular, has struggled this season; he’s averaging just 16.5 points per game on 40 percent shooting, the lowest number of his career.

While there’s still 70 games for Cleveland to turn it around, they clearly have a lot of work to do.
